Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

At SideEye Labs Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 202606926K), we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines how cancellations and refunds are handled across our products and services, including SaaS Subscriptions (Project AQUA, APEX, LENS, and PULSE), Bookings (WeGoDive), and Digital Products (guides and templates via Gumroad).

By making a purchase through any of our platforms, you agree to the cancellation and refund terms described below.

2. Cancellation — SaaS Subscriptions

You may cancel your subscription to any of our SaaS products — Project AQUA, Project APEX, Project LENS, and Project PULSE — at any time. There are no lock-in contracts and no cancellation fees.

  • How to cancel — cancel through your account settings, or contact us at hello@sideeyelabs.io. We will process your cancellation within one (1) business day.
  • Access after cancellation — you will retain full access to the service until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will be downgraded and you will no longer be charged.
  • Immediate cancellation — if you prefer, you may request immediate termination of your subscription. In this case, access ends immediately and a prorated refund will be issued for the unused portion of the billing period (see Section 5).
  • Free trials — if you cancel during a free trial period, you will not be charged. No action is needed after cancellation — the trial simply ends.
  • Per-report purchases — Project APEX per-report purchases are one-time transactions. There is no subscription to cancel. Each report is billed individually at the time of purchase.

3. Cancellation — Bookings (WeGoDive)

Dive bookings made through WeGoDive are subject to the cancellation policy of the individual dive centre or operator offering the experience. SideEye Labs acts as a booking facilitator and does not directly provide dive services. We process booking deposits only — the remaining balance is paid directly to the service provider.

  • Each dive centre sets its own cancellation window and conditions. These terms are displayed on the booking page before you confirm your reservation.
  • To cancel a booking, contact the dive centre directly through the WeGoDive platform or reach out to us at hello@sideeyelabs.io.
  • If a dive centre cancels your booking, you will receive a full refund of any deposit paid through our platform.
  • Cancellations made within the dive centre's permitted window will be refunded according to their stated policy. Cancellations outside this window may not be eligible for a refund.

4. Cancellation — Digital Products

Digital products (guides, templates, and tools sold via Gumroad) are delivered immediately upon purchase. There is no subscription or recurring charge to cancel. If you are unsatisfied, you may request a refund as described in Section 6 below.

5. Refunds — SaaS Subscriptions

For SaaS subscription products (Project AQUA, APEX, LENS, and PULSE):

  • Prorated refunds — if you cancel mid-billing cycle and request immediate termination, you are eligible for a prorated refund for the unused portion of the current billing period. The refund amount is calculated based on the number of remaining days in the billing cycle.
  • End-of-period cancellation — if you cancel and choose to retain access until the end of your billing period, no refund is issued for the current period as service continues until expiry.
  • Per-report purchases — Project APEX per-report purchases are eligible for a refund within seven (7) days of purchase if the report has not yet been generated or delivered.

6. Refunds — Digital Products

Digital products sold through Gumroad — including guides, templates, checklists, and other downloadable resources — are eligible for a full refund within thirty (30) days of purchase, no questions asked.

To qualify for a digital product refund:

  • The refund request must be submitted within 30 days from the date of purchase.
  • You must provide your order number or the email address used for the purchase.

We believe in the quality of our digital products and offer this guarantee so you can purchase with confidence.

7. Refunds — Bookings (WeGoDive)

Booking deposits represent a service fee for facilitating reservations. Refund eligibility is determined according to the cancellation terms displayed at checkout.

  • Dive centre cancellation — if a dive centre cancels your booking, you will receive a full refund of any deposit paid through our platform within 5–10 business days.
  • Cancellation within permitted window — if you cancel within the dive centre's cancellation window, your deposit is refundable according to the terms displayed at checkout. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days.
  • Cancellation outside permitted window — if you cancel outside the dive centre's permitted cancellation window, the booking deposit is non-refundable.
  • To request a booking refund, contact us at hello@sideeyelabs.io with your booking reference.

8. What Is NOT Eligible for a Refund

Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Digital product refund requests submitted more than 30 days after purchase.
  • Subscription charges for billing periods that have already been fully used.
  • Per-report purchases where the report has already been generated and delivered.
  • Services that were used or consumed in full before the refund request was made.
  • Requests arising from a failure to cancel a subscription before the next billing cycle, unless a prorated refund applies.
  • Bookings where the dive operator's cancellation policy does not permit a refund and the cancellation was initiated by the user.
  • Cases of fraud, abuse, or violation of our Terms of Service.

9. After Cancellation

When you cancel a subscription or close your account:

  • Your data — we retain your account data for thirty (30) days after cancellation to allow for reactivation. After this period, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Data export — you may request an export of your data before or during the 30-day retention period by contacting us.
  • Reactivation — if you wish to resubscribe within the 30-day retention window, your previous data and settings will be restored.
  • Legal obligations — certain data (e.g., invoices and transaction records) may be retained beyond 30 days as required by Singapore law for accounting and tax purposes.

10. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

To request a refund or cancel a service, contact us at hello@sideeyelabs.io with the following information:

  • Your full name and email address associated with the purchase.
  • The product or service (e.g., digital product name, Project AQUA subscription, WeGoDive booking reference).
  • Your order number, transaction ID, or booking reference.
  • Whether you are requesting a cancellation, a refund, or both.
  • The reason for your request (optional but appreciated).

We aim to respond to all requests within two (2) business days. Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or payment provider.

11. Refund Processing

Refunds are processed through the original payment channel:

  • Stripe — for SaaS subscription refunds, per-report refunds, and booking deposit refunds.
  • Gumroad — for digital product refunds.

We do not charge any processing fees for refunds. However, third-party payment processors may have their own policies regarding refund processing times and fees.

12. Governing Law

This Refund & Cancellation Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Changes to this policy will not apply retroactively to purchases made before the effective date of the update.
